Gail Parent and Craig DiGregorio acted as contributing writers to the series' first season. On May 17, 2010, it was announced that State of the Union would not be returning for a fourth season. Producers stated that they felt that the show had "run its course."

Tracey Ullman's State of the Union Season 2 Full Episode Guide
In the second season finale, Tracey appears as a fifty-year-old teacher who takes advantage of her students, an over-prescribing doctor, an Olympic trainer, and actress Jodie Foster.

Once again, Tracey includes political pundit Arianna Huffington in her repertoire and adds to that fashion designer Miuccia Prada, actor Tony Sirico, as well as the portrayal of a woman living in a polygamist compound and a hog-calling champion.
